Isabella Healthcare Services is a distributor of consumable medical supplies in Ghana. The company provides hospitals and other healthcare institutions with sterilized surgical packs that facilitate world-class care across a broad range of medical procedures. Isabella supplies many of the largest hospitals in Ghana and is helping these institutions improve on the quality of care delivered to their patients and safer working conditions for their staff. The company was founded in 2015 by Isabella Naana Asante and aims to be the leading provider of quality surgical packs and other medical products in the West African sub-region. Isabella Healthcare Service’s mission is to make quality affordable health care products accessible to all who need it. Our surgical packs enable physicians to administer safe and timely medical interventions, unconstrained by infrastructural challenges to sterilization that are common across Ghana. Working with Isabella Healthcare Services also enables institutions to reduce rates of hospital-acquired infections among both patients and staff. To date, the company has provided surgical packs to support thousands of surgeries in Ghana.

Isabella is a registered nurse with over 25 years of clinical experience in home health and women and children’s health from prestigious hospitals such as New York Presbyterian, Columbia Presbyterian, Albert Einstein and Vasser Hospitals in New York and The Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Ghana. Believing access to quality health care to be a fundamental human right, Isabella moved back home in 2016 to establish Isabella Healthcare Services. She draws on her vast experience and knowledge to collaborate with her clients and manufacturers to design products that are of the highest standards, safe for patients, safe for the health care team, cost effective and improves the client’s operations. She received a Bachelor of Nursing Degree from Howard University, Washington, DC and was part of the 2018 cohort of the Women Entrepreneurship and Leadership for Africa offered by the China Europe International Business School. She’s currently a board member at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. As a breast cancer survivor, she’s also the founder of Embrace Society, a foundation that provides education in early detection and supports services to women diagnosed with breast cancer.
