Accra Medical Centre (AMC) is a wholly owned Ghanaian Medical Service Provider (MSP) offering Primary Health Care and Emergency Medical Services to Individuals and corporate clients within the Greater Accra and Western Regions. AMC established on 22 November 2011, operates from its headquarters in Accra, Greater Accra Region as a Specialist Hospital offering: general & physician specialist services; medical emergency services; laboratory, pharmacy services; ambulatory surgical services; medical diagnostics services and occupational health & wellness services. Among our objectives is to assist in ongoing efforts to improve access to specialist physician and corresponding medical services in a one-stop-shop facility and to help fill the void to accessible and reliable customer-oriented healthcare services within Ghana and beyond. AMC currently employs over 200 medical and health care professionals and serves over 90,000 patients annually.

Dr. Opoku-Akoto attended University of Ghana Medical School and graduated with an MBChB in 2001 and The West African College of Surgeons, Faculty of Anaesthesia, where she obtained a Diploma in Anaesthesia in 2003 after passing the primaries, and a Specialist (Part I) in Anaesthesia in 2006. Since her graduation, Dr. Opoku-Akoto has undertaken several CMEs in various fields of Urgent Patient Care. Dr. Opoku-Akoto worked in Ghana at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital where she undertook rotations in the Departments of Anaesthesia, Surgery, Paediatrics and in Bermuda at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital in Internal Medicine for 3 years. She also worked at Hamilton Medical Centre and Bermuda Healthcare Services as a General Practitioner for another 3 years.
